Poetry Book Farm, nested atop one of Allegany County's beautiful rolling hills (southwest of the nearby Finger Lakes, about 90 miles due south of Rochester, NY) is home to a colorful flock of Shetland sheep. We offer fleeces for hand-spinners and quality breeding stock. Our breeding goals are for fleece quality, color diversity, parasite resistance, temperament, and the retention of the Shetland's primitive traits. We have chosen to employ organic farming practices not only for the health of the sheep, but for the health of our planet.

Sheep for sale:
We had a big crop of babies this year. So we are hoping to get as many as possible spoken for ASAP. To this end we would be willing to consider any reasonable offer. Additional discounts will apply for group purchases. We have more lambs available than we have allotted spaces on this web site. We also have a wide selection of older ewes and rams.
